“Picnik” Circuit - 20km

Just bring your picnic – we do the rest.

VYou will embark in your canoe for a trip through or near several nature reserves where, paddling along to the calm rhythm of the Loire, you may sight herons or little terns, or see evidence of beaver activity.

Reception at 11.00 at the base of St Martin de la Place, where, after the necessary formalities (hire contract and payment) you will be taken by shuttle to Monsoreau l’Ile au Than, opposite Candé St Martin.

A short briefing will be given, after which you will embark for your trip.

Return to base for 18.00.

Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but CANOËS D’ANJOU will not be held responsible for its clients’ behaviour.

Réservation

At the end of your trip you will be picked up at the rendezvous point. Pick-up time will be given at the pre-departure briefing.

Important information

Hire Conditions

Be able to swim 25 metres – have no fear of water.
Children are accepted from 12 years old on the mono paddle
Minors must be accompanied by an adult and must be able to swim.
Children over 6 years old are accepted if accompanied by an adult, and are able to swim.

Recommended dress

Comfortable shoes, swimming costume, tee-shirt, hat, sunglasses.
Suncream.
If the weather is cloudy, warm clothing and a windproof top.

IF THE WEATHER WORSENS, CAN WE ABANDON?

Yes, we will bring you back to base. But you must be near a slipway to which our trailers can have access. We shall give a time and place for your recuperation in function of other traffic on the Loire. There will be no extra cost.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

For all groups, from 10 people, we require a deposit of 30% of the total amount, to be sent to the head office.
This deposit is not cashed. It will be returned to you or deducted from the invoice on the day of your visit.

Payment is made on the same day as your booking, before boarding when signing the rental contract.
Payment in cash or ANCV Classique check.
We do not accept ANCV Coupon-Sport checks.

Due to the misconduct of some clients, we now require a deposit of 30% of the total service amount for all bookings from 10 people, to validate your reservation via bank transfer.

Checks are no longer accepted.

Clients canceling the service 24 hours before the service or not showing up: the 30% deposit is cashed, due to staff relocation and logistics reasons.

Conversely, if we cancel the service due to bad weather or flooding of the Loire, we will refund the deposit.

Regarding reservations via the ADDOCK platform, pre-paid reservations are made online on our website.

Client cancellation:

48 hours before the service: 30% of the amount cashed
48 to 24 hours: 50% of the amount cashed
24 hours before the service: 100% of the amount cashed.

ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED?

Yes, we accept animals if kept on a lead.

ACCESS TO PEOPLE OF REDUCED MOBILITY

Yes, we welcome people of reduced mobility, but specific cases may cause problems. Please contact us beforehand. Thank you for your understanding.
